" MNAC "

the astounding structure of MNAC was one of my favorites.
it shows us another slice of Catalan's architecture apart from Gaudi's.

this was taken on our way back to the bus,
the back view is as beautiful as the one in front.

" Venetian Tower "

Around Plaça d'Espanya square is this structure called the Venetian tower.
It's also one of the main highlights in Barcelona, on the way to MNAC ( the one I posted earlier) and the Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina, commonly used for trade fairs.
This "torre effect" is imposing and literally gigantic that it's hard to catch a good angle.
this is just one of the many shots I did during my trip last december.
too bad I couldn't stay longer and see how it lights up at night. ^0^

Here's an amusing caricature figurine of well known american director Woody Allen.
Known for Vicky Cristina Barcelona and Midnight in Paris.

A bit of a problem with white balance,
this is the dome structure of MNAc's museum.
or better known as Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya,
To get there, you either take a direct bus or a taxi
to avoid a long plight of stairs,
if you don't mind though, the walk is rewarding as the view on the way up is just breathtaking.

as early as 9 am in the morning,
I was already out for a walk around the neighborhood of Pelai,
the weather was cold but not chilly,
when I looked up and saw this quintessential clock and had to framed it
with the signs.

If you can't get enough of Gaudi, there are these wonderful trinkets for sale.
The sporty figurines above are some of BCN's famous trademark too.

On a double decker bus, I was fishing for some nice structures and this is what I saw.

I don't know why a name like Nuria is a favorite among the Catalans.
Maybe something to do with its history,
I first encountered this peculiar name when I read the book of Carlos Ruiz Zafon.
